Pascal started his professional career at McKinsey, after studies at the University of St. Gallen and Columbia Business School. Over the last 20 years he built three startups in the healthcare space – the latest being Ava. And successfully raised ten financing rounds – from USD 100k to USD 30m – with investors from all over the world. Pascal currently lives in Zurich, and spends substantial time in San Francisco, Shenzhen and other tech centers around the world.
Surbhi studied biology at the University of California, Berkeley, and worked as a clinical scientist at the Stanford University School of Medicine. After being employed as an engineer for two renowned medtech companies she founded nVision, a startup with the mission to detect ovarian cancer. In 2018 she sold nVision for USD 275m to Boston Scientific. Surbhi remains the company’s CEO and president. She has received various awards, incl. Forbes “30 under 30”.
Patrik studied at the University of Zurich, University of St. Gallen, and London Business School. After starting his career at Credit Suisse he moved to responsability, an impact investor. Patrik was a member of the core team to grow responsability from a few employees to 200+, with several billion USD AUM. Among others, he built up operations in Africa. Patrik now lives in Nairobi, and is building a new startup in the sustainable energy space focused on Eastern and Southern Africa.
Maggie has a BA from Fudan University and an MBA from Harvard. She started her career at McKinsey, where she did strategy projects out of the Shanghai, London and New Jersey offices. Maggie then joined Peloton – a sports and media company founded in 2012 and now valued at USD 30 billion – where she took multiple executive roles including SVP of Strategy and GM of Digital Ventures. In 2019 she co-founded NY-based health and beauty company Ever/Body.
Daniel started his career at McKinsey, where he led the Asian insurance practice before moving on to become CFO and Head of Strategy at Winterthur Life and Pensions. In the last 15 years Daniel built and financed tech companies both in Asia and Europe. Besides a deep sector know-how in insurance and fintech he has done various healthcare, robotics and energy projects. Daniel currently spends his time between Hong Kong and Zurich.
Madiha has an MA from the Technical University of Berlin and a PhD in biotechnology from EPFL in Lausanne/Switzerland. After her post-doc in the field of oncology she founded Amal Therapeutics, focused on cancer vaccines. Madiha raised USD 40m over several financing round before selling the company to Boehringer Ingelheim, in a transaction that was amongst the largest in the biotech industry over the last few years.
Rajeev supported fast growth of several companies after his studies at UC Berkeley. Three of these companies were acquired (one by Adobe, one by Google). In 2010 he became Director of Product Development at Disney, where he developed new products with a team of 80 people. In 2013 he founded Reflektive, an SF-based SaaS company which he grew to 200 people. Rajeev raised USD 100m from some of the world’s most renowned investors.
Stephanie has a bachelor’s degree from LSE and a master’s degree from Harvard. An entrepreneur at heart, she has built up operations for several startups in the healthcare and tech space. Stephanie currently supports growth- to late-stage TMT companies via LQ Pacific Partners, a cross-border boutique provider of private capital and asset manager chaired by a co-founder of Tencent. Stephanie has lived on various continents and is currently based in Hong Kong.
